Madeleine L'Engle

I had a moment of great sadness today when I read that Madeleine L'Engle passed away yesterday. She was 88 years old and had lived a full, beautiful life, but I was, and still am, a bit devastated. She has been my favorite author for a long as I can remember. I started reading her books 20 years ago and they were essentially THE books of my childhood and young adult life. For years I have tried to read "A Wrinkle in Time" and can never get through it, but I love all her other books. "A Circle of Quiet", "Certain Women", and "A Small Rain" are probably my favorites, but all the other books, including her books of poetry, are amazing.
